December 2020

Christmas holiday gift packages were prepared for the children in the Palmeras district of San Carlos county, Costa Rica during the height of Covid 19 pandemic and lockdown. The gift packages included clothing, hygiene and stuffed animals for the children.

***Special thanks to the Compton Unified School District for providing all the stuffed animals and the Costa Rican Police Department who delivered the gift packages during the curfew lockdown.

Thanks to the generosity of our patrons, Al Barro foundation organized and delivered warm clothing to two dozen coffee plantation workers in Zarcero county, Costa Rica.

Thanks to the generosity of our patrons, Al Barro foundation organized and delivered warm clothing to two dozen coffee plantation workers in Zarcero county, Costa Rica.

January 2022

Thanks to the generosity of our patrons, Al Barro foundation organized and delivered care packages of non-perishable food items to 130 families in Cari Blanco county, Costa Rica. The food baskets contained: rice, grains, beans, pasta, tuna, oatmeal, powdered milk, salt, oil, coffee and sugar. 

August 2022

Al Barro visited the low income region of Upala, Los Chiles and surrounding areas to deliver all new backpacks stuffed with school supplies, school uniforms and shoes for 500 children. In addition, 150 families received food baskets of non-perishable food items, consisting of rice, grains, beans, pasta, tuna, oatmeal, powdered milk, salt, oil, coffee and sugar.
